When I started some years back, I had no Subscriber at all. I did everything the wrong way. I didn't know how to write valuable posts, nobody to guide me and so I had no subscriber. In fact, to get 1000 subscribers was not even easy.
It involved a lot of hard work, research and brain storming
After a few years, I realised that the following factors were responsible for having few or no subscribers.
9 Reasons Why You Don't Have Blog Subscribers
1 Your Profile -- Your profile is very important. The audience would want to know your name, what you do, what you look like and how you can help them.
So you need to make sure that everything is in place. Make sure you write a killer about page.
Make sure your picture is of good quality, you look good and you have a smiling face in the picture.
If you look sad in your picture, it can send wrong signals to the audience.
2 Your Posts Are Not Valuable -- Make sure your posts or contents are valuable. If they are valuable, people will make comments and some of them will subscribe. If you need someone to check your contents or posts, feel free to contact me.
I personally don't like very very very long posts. If it is too long, I normally read only the subheadings and the subtitles.
So I believe generally speaking, people don't like very very very long contents or posts. For your blog to appear on Google's first page, you only need a minimum of 2000 words.
3 Not Posting Contents Anymore -- Do not focus on making sales. Post contents regularly. Remember, even if you are making sales, you still need to blog regularly .
4 You Do Not Offer A Free Product Or Free Service -- You will get more Subscribers quickly if you offer a free product or service.
It can be downloadable ebooks that can only be downloaded if they subscribe and so on.
5 You Need to Become Popular -- This should be your aim. To be popular and influential. When you post valuable and original contents regularly, you will become influential and make lots of money through sponsored posts, content marketing and others. You will therefore have so many subscribers.
6 Make Sure Your Blog is Okay -- There was a time I searched Google for a long tailed keyword. I clicked on one of the websites shown in the result but it took a long time to load. I tried again but to no avail. I had to look for another website.
I tried another website looking for answers to another query, in fact what I saw amazed me. The website actually wanted to verify if it was a human and told me to click on pictures showing boats. I did this and I was given another one, just because I wanted to read the Content on the website. I just gave up and left.
Please make sure your blogs load quickly and always check the performance of your blog. Make sure you check out your links too.
7 You Don't Use The Art Of Story telling -- Always use the art of story telling. Share your experiences with the audience like I did above. Be honest about it. When you use this art, people will enjoy your post and they would want more. They would want to be notified when new contents are out, so they would subscribe. This is really important.
8 Display Your Best Posts -- Display your best posts on your side bar or on any noticeable area.
9 Subscribe And Make Comments Too -- Let this start with you too. When was the last time you subscribed and commented on other bloggers blogs or sites?
Anytime you enjoy a post and you gain a lot, please subscribe. I believe if we all do this on one another's blog, other people too will be encouraged to subscribe.
