There are two ways you can promote your website or increase your blog's or website's traffic.They are simply free and paid advertisement.
I am going to talk about the free method of advertising today.They are:
1 Free pinging services:This is a free and very effective method of increasing your traffic.
Once you post an article on your blog/website,then ping your blog/website.It is very effective i assure you.But you must post a fresh article before you ping your blog/website.If you are short of articles to post,simply go to other blogs/websites related to your own blog title,go through their articles,then rewrite in your own words or you do a research,go to two or three websites/blogs,go through related articles,pick some points,then merge them together and make sure to use your own words.Please do not lift or write word for word.

Google feedburner-Register and burn your feed only when you have new article.

After making comments,ping those sites,not your own.
